1 Wetherby Place is a new town house on a very confined central London site. Arranged over three floors the design maximizes the site footprint with open-planned, multi-use spaces arranged around a central stair and fireplace feature. Echoing a mid-century modern design style the interior provides both extensive entertaining areas and a home-work environment for the client who is a music producer.
The practice acted as Executive Architects in collaboration with VAST Architecture and the client, Mr. Mihalcheon, who participated closely in the design's evolution.
The completed house received a Kensington & Chelsea Environment Award in 2007.
